1.8 million people live and work here at the intersection of the most important European transport axes between Scandinavia, Western, Eastern and Southern Europe. Thanks to its outstanding infrastructure, qualified specialists, innovative companies and research institutes known for their cutting-edge research, the city’s economy continues to grow.

The population continued to grow thanks to the high quality of life. In 2035, almost 2 million people are expected to live in Hamburg. This is one of the reasons why the mobility sector is undergoing profound change.
