Free Oyster Travel Card for Conference Delegates
Transport for London and Transys are delighted to offer conference delegates an integrated approach to accessing public transport across London. Transys have provided a free Oyster Travel Card wallet and transport maps and Transport for London has provided the equivalent of £30 of free travel. This leading smart card can be used on the Tube, the bus network, Docklands Light Railway - DLR and trams. Access to these services could not be easier, simply place your card on the reader at the beginning and the end of your journey. There is plenty of credit on your card and it should last you for the time you are at the World Congress; however if you are very adventurous and run out of credit you can easily top it up with your own money.

You will receive your free Oyster Travel Card in your delegate bag when you arrive on site at the ITS World Congress. For more information on Transport for London's Oyster Card system, see www.tfl.gov.uk.

Numbers are limited and Oyster Cards will be allocated on a first-come-first served basis.

  • From London City: 5-minute taxi journey or a short walk.

  • From London Heathrow: Catch the Heathrow Express to Paddington. Take the Bakerloo line eastbound two stops to Baker Street and take the Jubilee line eastbound to Canning Town. From here, change for the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Custom House for ExCeL London just two stops away.
    Approximate minimum journey time - 1 hour 10 minutes.

    Alternatively, The Piccadilly line on the London Underground runs from all terminals at Heathrow. Change at Holborn onto the Central Line to Bank. At Bank transfer onto the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Custom House or Prince Regent, where ExCeL London is located.
    Approximate minimum journey time - 1 hour 30 minutes.


  • From London Gatwick: Thames link trains run frequently from Gatwick to London Bridge. At London Bridge, change onto the Jubilee Line South to Canning Town. At Canning Town change onto the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) for Custom House or Prince Regent.

    Alternatively, take the Gatwick Express train from the Airport to Victoria, change onto the underground District & Circle line to Tower Hill. Change onto the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Custom House or Prince Regent, where ExCeL London is located.
    Approximate minimum journey time - 1 hour 16 minutes.


  • From London Stansted: Take the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street and from here take the Central line eastbound to Stratford. From Stratford, take the Jubilee line westbound to Canning Town. Change for the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Custom House for ExCeL London just two stops away.
    Approximate minimum journey time - 1 hour 13 minutes.

BY UNDERGROUND / DOCKLANDS LIGHT RAILWAY (DLR):

Known as DLR, the light railway services the Docklands area. The DLR can be reached on the Jubilee Line from Canning Town, the Central line from Bank or on the Circle Line & District Line from Tower Hill.

ExCeL London is situated in Zone 3. Travel cards are valid on the Underground and on the DLR. Ticket tariffs are as follows:

One Day Zones 1-4 (Peak): £7.30
One Day Zones 1-4 (Off-Peak): £4.70
One Day Zones 1-6 (Off-Peak): £5.40

Peak times of travel are before 9:30am

BY ROAD:

Direct Access to dual carriageway connects ExCeL London with the national motorway network, the West End and the City.

A new road network links ExCeL London directly to the North Circular (A406), The M11 and the M25. From Junction 27 the journey time is approximately 25 minutes.

The Limehouse Link dual carriageway provides a through route to Docklands from the Embankment, Victoria and the West End.

PARKING:


There is plentiful parking on-site at ExCeL London, all within a short walk from the venue's entrances. The east park is a large, open air car park, including accessible parking spaces, and is just a few minutes walk to ExCeL London's east entrance. The multi-storey car park is situated at ExCeL London west, and is also just a few minutes walk to the venue's west entrance.

To make your journey simpler, you can pre book your parking with your credit card online at www.excel-london.co.uk. Pre book tickets are for use in the multi-storey car park only.

The Silverlink train service operates between Richmond to North Woolwich via Kew, Acton, Willesden, Hampstead, Homerton, Stratford and Custom House for ExCeL London.
